MacLennan Contractors was established in 2000 by owner David M MacLennan, The trade of the company in the early days was Excavator Hire and Tipper Hire and carrying out small private contracts on The Isle of Lewis and Isle of Harris.
Since the early days, MacLennan Contractors is now recognised as a leading contractor for carrying out all type of Civil Engineering Works, and in 2008 started to produce recycled soil materials and has been highly succesful in producing a quality and much sought after material.
Further development within Maclennan Contractors in 2010 provided another arm to this already highly succesful business. The company started providing machine spread tar to add to their already established ground preperation and surfacing work for the private sector within The Isles of Lewis and Harris.
